It has come to my attention that email activation has not been working. As such, all accounts in the Awaiting Activation group are now activated and made Member+ members. We apologize for such inconvenience and for now, an alternative method of activation has been temporarily implemented. Currently, I know that it's currently a server issue, and if it persists, I may have to change hosts.

In other news, Invision Power Board 3 has finally gone gold. We would like to congratulate IPS, Inc. for a successful product. As such, The Juice Bar will soon be upgrading to Invision Power Board 3 along with the acquisition of a new skin. We will then have to come out with new mods, as Invision Power Board 3 is not backward-compatible with 2.3 mods. When we update, we will have a downtime notice, and hopefully, The Juice Bar will be as beautiful as possible. I will be gone personally in a few weeks, but I'll try to post as much as I can.

Hey guys,

On June 13, 2009, Facebook added usernames to the system. As such, we have adapted our Facebook custom profile field. As such, for example, I got the username elcanadiano, and now people can now go conveniently to http://www.facebook.com/yourusername. I used mine as an example.

http://www.facebook.com/elcanadiano

Therefore, now, our custom profile field asks for Facebook usernames, rather than just IDs like we previously asked for. Just like all the previous profile fields, this is of course optional, and you do not have to put your username in. For those who do anyways, simply go to My Controls > Edit Profile Information and all the social networking stuff is there. Anyways, personally, I thought it was a good add.

Hey guys,

We're changing hosts for The Juice Bar (nlarcade.com has already been migrated). I have backed up the files to this site and will be doing the database right after this post. I will then change the DNS as the files are now up on the new server, then I will be turning off the forums at the old host. Anyways, you might see a small level of downtime, but chances are likely that it will be minimal, just so that you guys might know.

The new skin is ready for use. The main advantage is that it does not have the bugs that Hot Lava has. I also like it since it keeps things blue and cool while we have potentially another hot summer heading our way. Anyways, I was pretty inactive this weekend, wasn't I? Anyways, I was in Toronto, supporting my grandmother after she just had surgery, everything went very well. For those who prefer Hot Lava however, it has been retained and will still be supported with new mod updates.

In other news, The Juice Bar has been accepted into The Admin Zone's June/July '09 Launch sites. For those who go there, now's a great time to enter the exchange. We will be really promoting The Juice Bar all this month, so stay tuned, apple for the win .

Hey guys,

Just a reminder that we would love you guys to help us out. Tell your friends about our wonderous site and our amazing discussion. We're going 300 posts (this one's the 300th by the way) and steady growth is a good sign. Here's what's happening in the near future.

We will be getting a new skin pretty soon. The new logo is set. All I can tell you now is we'll be seeing some blue in this forum. The old theme will be retained, however. The domain is set to expire any time soon, hopefully I will be getting it back myself or be getting a new domain soon. Any feedback is appreciated. Anyways, take care guys, I might be posting just a tad less with exams coming up.

emilio has been stripped of the-juice-bar.com. At this time, all I currently know is that the domain was acquired with illegitamate means. I have worked with him for a while now and so I forgive him. For now, we have to revert to klsforums.com as our domain for the time being. Hopefully, in the future, I can acquire the-juice-bar.com in my own hands or a similar domain. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Hey guys,

We have added two new boards, La Carnival, and Website Advertising. La Carnival is a board where you can play your favourite forum arcade games. Only Member+ members may start a new game. Post count increases but points do not. Now Website Advertising is pretty plain and simple. Anyone who is in the Member+ group may post their own site for us to see. We allow most sites and forums, except nothing that is adult or spammy. Both post count and points increase like normal in Website Advertising. Anyways, keep posting, guys.

Hey guys,

We finally have the permanent domain I have been looking for. We are proud today to announce that we have locked the-juice-bar.com on a 3-year deal. Don't worry though for those who have bookmarked klsforums.com. We will still keep the domain until it expires, and it will stay here.

Now, this could not have happened if it wasn't for emilio. He's our new admin, and brings us experience from Spag TV and a previous version of Krustylu Studios. We wish him the best and let's welcome him here! Expect more updates soon.

Hey guys,

We have updated the skin to further improve our skin experience. All custom profiles are now shown in the Hot Lava skin. Currently, the text boxes seem to be better due to improvements (though I know it's still buggy). We have also added some social networking profile links to your current The Juice Bar profiles (we would like to remind this is optional ). Currently, we only have links for Facebook, Digg, Twitter, MySpace, and YouTube, but we will be adding more of the popular social networking sites as well as any major social networking site you wish to add. As you can see, I added my Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube profiles. If you don't know where you can add your social networking buttons, do it here. We also plan on adding AddThis to our posts and the site in the short future. Keep posting guys, it's really fun to know you guys.
